Limited License RADIOLOGIC Technician Program

The Limited License Radiologic Technician (LRT) program is designed to train individuals in performing specific radiologic procedures under the supervision of licensed radiologic technologists or radiologists.
Students learn to operate radiologic equipment, position patients, and ensure image quality, all while adhering to strict safety and ethical standards. This program equips graduates with the skills needed to contribute to patient care in various healthcare settings, playing a crucial role in the diagnostic process.

Operates radiographic equipment and carefully positions patients to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Determines appropriate technical factors, such as exposure time and radiation dosage, to produce clear and safe X-rays.
Works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare staff to facilitate patient care and accurate diagnoses.

You will play a key role in patient care by performing limited scope radiographic exams. By accurately capturing high-quality images of specific body parts, you provide doctors with the crucial information they need to effectively diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries and conditions. This role does not qualify its candidates to cross-train into advanced modalities. Students who are interested in becoming full-scope technologists are encouraged to pursue post-grad bridge programs, which are discussed in detail throughout the course.

As a Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist, you can expect to provide essential imaging services in various settings, including urgent care facilities, radiology facilities, family physicians’ offices, and orthopedic or chiropractic clinics. Your role is critical in these settings for quickly diagnosing common injuries and conditions.

Tuition for the Limited License Radiologic Program is $900 and includes all classroom materials and exam fees.

Need-based scholarships are available to all eligible applicants. All program applicants will be allowed to indicate their need for financial aide during the application process.
